Oh man, that theme music became instantly stuck in my head. When I was a kid my mom, my sister, and I would watch that show every Wednesday(?) night without fail.

Yup, been rewatching these for last month or so.
The only thing that kind of bugs me is that the voiceover guy changed for the beginning “This program is about Unsolved Mysteries. Whenever possible, the actual family members and police officials have participated in recreating these events. What you are about to see is not a news broadcast”.
Oh, and since we’re talking about Robert Stack, I still love this bit from Baseketball:

Well, there goes my night. I was around 7 when this show was popular in the 1980s. For reasons unknown to me, my dad let me watch it. I got creeped out a few times. I can’t wait to rewatch
